GETTING TO NEW YORK:

AIRPORTS

There are 3 options for flights to NYC.

LGA

Laguardia Airport
10 miles
From Downtown Brooklyn

JFK

John F. Kennedy International Airport
16 miles
From Downtown Brooklyn

EWR

Newark Liberty International Airport
15 miles
From Downtown Brooklyn

Jess & Ron’s Pro Tips:
Laguardia (LGA) is our go-to choice. It’s the closest airport to our home and cheapest cab ride. It’s currently under construction, so allow extra time for congestion and traffic. On the upside - Terminal B is finished so if you fly Southwest, American or Delta you’re in for a treat! If you fly any other airline… sorry.

Newark (EWR) sucks. It’s a tempting choice since flights are significantly cheaper than to the other airports. However, it’s a pain to get to and transportation to/from the airport can end up eating all that money you just saved on plane tickets. Cab to Brooklyn: $85+ each way plus a $15 toll. Public Transit: $20 plus 2+ hours of your life.

GETTING TO YOUR HOTEL:

GROUND TRANSPORTATION

Taxi

There are taxi stand lines outside of every airport, usually near baggage claim. Hop in line and tell them where you’re going!

Uber/Lyft

Uber and Lyft have a designated pick-up spot at airports, so follow signs for ride-sharing.

MTA (Public Transportation)

If you plan to do public transportation, you’ll first need to locate a MTA kiosk to purchase a metrocard.

Jess & Ron’s Pro Tip:
Go for the taxi! It’s the easiest way to get to your hotel from the airport with all your luggage - and probably most authentic.
